News has arrived that should bring a smile to the face of any fan of The Smiths and a grimace to those who can’t stand them – Johnny Marr and Morrissey are mending fences.
While some are speculating that the former bandmates will be reuniting onstage at some point in the near future, this is really just a first step. There have been years of acrimony between the two – both public and private, so who knows if this goes anywhere musically?

From the potent minds of poet-actor-MC-professional hyphenate Saul Williams and legendary artist-producer Trent Reznor comes “The Inevitable Rise and Liberation of NiggyTardust”, a collaborative album unlike anything we’ve seen this year. Virginia’s own Thornton brothers are keeping the streets deluged with hot tracks, adding “Road to Till The Casket Drops” to their mixtape discography. The album’s purpose is twofold – give the fiends a little taste to get them on the come-back when the duo’s next studio LP, “Till The Casket Drops”, arrives in ’09 and to promote their new clothing line, Play Cloths.
