Americans love it when the citizens of other countries hit the streets for injustice. We were teary eyed with emotion during the Solidarity movement in Poland, and giddy when the wall came down in East Germany. As the fury in Iran has escalated, we’ve watched and admired the Iranians demanding their government recognize the will of it’s people. Armchair revolutionaries cheering in a wave of patriotism by proxy.

I Met RJD2

A couple of years ago, I had the distinct pleasure of interviewing one of the most singular artists of the past ten years or so – Mr. Ramble Jon Krohn, better known to the universe as RJD2. The interview was initially for a book I was working on at the time, but a recent opportunity to read over it again has me believing that this is prime IMARS material.

I am so sick of the wasteland of grammar that the Web has become. Check out the comment section for any popular video on YouTube and enjoy the feast of words like “wat”, “ur”, and “dat”. Real talk, that’s all well and good for group names and album titles, but can American youth show some respect at some point for the English language? It’s never a smart thing to write as you speak. It’s a different mode you’re communicating in, so act accordingly.

More like blame it on the Oscar.

Jamie Foxx just released the video for his new single, “Blame It”, featuring the dude you love to hate to love, T-Pain. I’ve gotta admit that I’ve been rocking this song nonstop for the past week and I’m not sure if there’s an end in sight. Usually this isn’t my type of track to bump, but it is pretty infectious in an ebola kind of way.
